The Stone House
This is my family's house, Frequently referred to as 'The Stone House'. It is where my father and his siblings all grew up. It is where my family along with my Aunts, Uncles and cousins would go back to for Hollidays, Sunday 'Cioppino' dinners (of course with plenty of wine and music) and unfortunately, 'Celebrations of Life'.
It was built by my Great Grandfather (Giuseppe Marotta) my Step-Grandfather (Jim Chappell) along with my father and Uncles. Completed in 1935. It stands on the hill over looking the Monterey Bay. Built from the local Carmel Stone. It is now designated as a 'Historic Home'.
We would do maintenance and repair work over the years. Myself and crew along with my brother Dee and cousins. This is a family of 4 generations coming together to build and maintain our family home.
